Hi, i'm jenny jimenez.
SHE/HER. PHOTOGRAPHER. NICE PERSON.
I believe that we all have the inherent right to self-expression, love, and joy. My work aims to capture the humor and humanity in life, honoring every personality I encounter and their unpredictable moments.
My career as a photographer has spanned two decades, during which I've had the honor of working with the likes of Lindy West, Megan Rapinoe, the New Pornographers, and Sleater-Kinney. I got my start documenting Seattle's nightlife and music community for alternative weeklies. These days my work centers around modern, candid photography, finding the extraordinary in the everyday.
I'm a queer accomplice, intersectional feminist, and parent committed to creating a more equitable world. I believe in big love, genuine emotion, and laughing your ass off. When I'm not behind a camera, you'll find me with my kid and partner, hosting family dance parties and somehow remembering the lyrics to every Billboard Hot 100 single from 1982 through '89.
Oh, and it's pronounced "he-MEN-ez", but you can call me Jenny J.
