For the past week I’ve had the privilege of studying with Magnum photographer Bruce Gilden in Toronto. Bruce is known for his character driven, often humorous photographic observations on urban streets whether it be in New York, Haiti or Japan. The man is hilarious and I’ve really enjoyed his many stories and honest critiques. The following is some of the work I produced this week while walking the streets of Toronto.
Such fun with this couple & crew. They really know how to celebrate! Read the full story and see a ton more photos + same day cinematography from my friends at Mindcastle over on Junebug Weddings.
Audra hand painted the invitation for their summer wedding at the Corson Building. Those chickens are rad, eh? Chris is also a talented artist.
Kip BeelmanOn the money.
benj haischjenny, your work is phenomenal. honestly. your images always just feel so “genuine”. I appreciate that.
Catherine AbeggAmazing… thank you so much for documenting our family & our lives & our love for each other, as we are in this time of our lives… this shoot meant so much to us, and will definitely be one that we’ll look back on for years, hopefully generations, to come. You are a true artist, and your art is in your unmatchable ability to be in every moment, as they happen, even when nobody else seems to realize it’s happening. You captured *us* perfectly… I am forever grateful to you, JennyJ!!! Thank you so much for being there for us, with us… I don’t know what to say! I can barely type through the tears! I will repay you in hugs & kisses for the rest of our lives, if you’ll let me. xo.
