Robin of A Chow Life & Kirk of Mastin Studio had me out for a maternity session a couple months before bringing sweet little Maeve into this world. Since then they’ve been busy balancing their home & creative lives. All of this balancing has them eager for a vacation so Robin entered the Whole Foods Foodie Fantasy, a video contest for food bloggers. Her entry was chosen as one of eight finalists! WASHINGTONIANS - There are three library levy measures on the ballot in next Tuesday’s statewide election to benefit @snoislelibraries , @seattlepubliclibrary , and @spokanecountylibrary. All are labeled as Prop 1 on their ballots, all fund core library operations, all are to renew or restore funding, and all need a simple majority to pass.
Libraries do a lot more than lend books. They offer free access to internet, computers, and wifi. They teach people how to use email, write resumes, and apply for jobs. They build community. As a mom, I regularly attended storytime with my kid, and we go every three weeks to re-up on books to meet summer reading goals. Did you know that our libraries offer help with homework, online tutoring for students, and adult literacy classes? Tax prep assistance, meeting rooms to reserve. All of these are free to us regardless of income, background, or immigration status. When funding is cut, branches close, have shorter hours, and fewer staff. The library that raised you can’t do the same for your kids.
Vote YES on Prop 1, and make sure your ballot is postmarked or dropped off by 8pm next Tuesday, 8/4.

Charlie teamed up with @madebyshore for a branding and website refresh last year. I first connected with Charlie in 2020 for portraits at Loom House on Bainbridge. My stylist @ryannbrady_hmu and I fell in love with her style, humor, and confidence, and it’s been a treat to continue to work together.
